Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

Skedz is designed to help you and your household stay organised, but it is a planning aid and not a substitute for checking your own important appointments and schedules. Please do not rely on Skedz reminders alone for time-critical commitments.

1. Introduction

Welcome to Skedz ("Skedz", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Skedz application, website and any related services (the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Skedz. If you are using Skedz on behalf of a household, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that household.

2. Who we are

Skedz is operated by Kevin Bolley, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, trading as SKEDZ. Skedz is not operated as a limited company, and no company number applies.

3. Using the Service and your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You may use Skedz for personal, household and non-commercial scheduling purposes.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current information when setting up your account and household.
  • You may create and manage a household, invite members, and share schedules within the Service. Invited members are subject to these Terms where applicable.
  • You agree not to misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt it, or access it by unauthorised means.

4. Household and member data

  • Skedz lets you store information about your household, including the names, colours, notes and schedules of members of any age.
  • You confirm that you have the right to enter and share information about other people in your household, and that you do so in accordance with applicable data protection law.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of the data you add.
  • Members you invite may have access to shared schedule information. You are responsible for deciding what is shared and with whom.
  • Children under 18 should not create their own accounts; their details may be added by an adult household member.

5. Free trials

  • We may offer a free trial of paid features for a limited period. The current trial duration is shown to you before any trial begins.
  • A trial may require you to register a payment method, but you will not be charged until the trial ends and you choose to subscribe.
  • You can cancel a trial at any time before it ends to avoid being charged.
  • We may change, limit or withdraw trial offers at any time; this will not affect a trial already in progress.

6. Subscriptions, recurring billing and renewal

  • Paid subscriptions renew automatically on a recurring basis (for example, monthly or annually) until cancelled. The applicable billing frequency is shown to you before purchase.
  • By starting a subscription you authorise us (via our payment provider, Stripe) to charge the then-current price at the start of each billing period.
  • The current price and billing frequency are displayed at the point of purchase and in your account before you confirm payment.
  • We may change subscription prices. We will give you reasonable notice of any price increase and tell you how to avoid it (for example, by cancelling before the change takes effect).

7. Cancellation

  • You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account or by contacting us.
  • Cancellation stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
  • Unless you have a statutory right to a refund (see Section 12), cancelled periods are not refunded for the time remaining.

8. Stripe payments

  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Skedz does not store your full card or bank details.
  • Your use of Stripe is also subject to Stripe's terms, which apply alongside these Terms.
  • By subscribing you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide.

9. Refunds and failed payments

  • If a payment fails, we may retry it or pause access to paid features until payment is resolved.
  • If you believe you have been charged in error, or in circumstances where a refund is due under these Terms or applicable law, please contact us and we will review your request promptly.
  • Where a refund is due, it will be made to the original payment method.
  • Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a UK consumer, including rights that may entitle you to a refund.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Skedz for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose.
  • Enter or share information about anyone without the right to do so.
  • Attempt to access, disrupt or overload the Service, its systems or another user's data.
  • Reproduce, resell or commercially exploit the Service without permission.
  • Introduce viruses, malware or any other malicious code.
  • Use the Service in a way that breaches third-party rights or these Terms.

11. Your content

  • You retain ownership of the schedules, notes and other content you add ("Your Content").
  • You grant us a limited licence to use Your Content only as needed to provide and operate the Service, including displaying it to your household members and backing it up.
  • You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring it does not infringe anyone else's rights or breach the law.
  • We may remove or restrict content that breaches these Terms or applicable law.

12. Intellectual property

  • Skedz, the Service and their design, branding and software are owned by us (or our licensors) and protected by intellectual property law.
  • We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose while your account is active.
  • You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law.

13. Third-party services

  • The Service may integrate with or link to third-party tools (for example calendar, mapping and payment providers). These are provided by third parties and governed by their own terms.
  • We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy or conduct of third-party services, and your use of them is at your own risk.
  • Schedule data synced from third parties may be delayed or incomplete. Always check important appointments directly.

14. Service availability

  • We aim to keep Skedz available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
  • We may update, maintain, suspend or restrict the Service, including for security or operational reasons, and will aim to keep disruption to a minimum.
  • The Service depends on internet connectivity and compatible devices, which are outside our control.

15. Suspension and termination

  • You may delete your account at any time. Deleting your account will remove your household data in line with our Privacy Policy.
  • We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or where required to protect other users or the Service.
  • We may stop providing the Service or discontinue features on reasonable notice. Where this affects a paid subscription, we will not charge you for periods after the service ends.
  • Provisions intended to survive termination (including liability, intellectual property and these Terms' enforceability) remain in effect.

16. Limitation of liability and disclaimers

  • Skedz is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude warranties and conditions that are not legally excluded.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or financial loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
  • Because Skedz is a planning aid, we are not liable for missed appointments, schedules or reminders. You remain responsible for checking important commitments directly.
  • Our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or such other amount as required by law.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

17. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect your data. These Terms should be read together with that policy.

See our Privacy Policy.

18. Changes to these Terms

  • We may update these Terms from time to time. We will tell you about significant changes through the Service or by email.
  • Continued use of Skedz after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
  • If a change is to your disadvantage, we will give you reasonable notice before it applies.

19. UK consumer statutory rights

As a UK consumer, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable law. These include the right that digital content and services are provided with reasonable care and skill, and that pre-contract information is provided clearly.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any statutory rights you have as a UK consumer that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Where any term conflicts with a non-excludable statutory right, that statutory right prevails.

20. Governing law and disputes

  • These Terms and any dispute arising from them or your use of Skedz are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
  • We will try to resolve any complaint informably first. Please contact us using the details in Section 21.
  • As a UK consumer, you may use the alternative dispute resolution process and the Online Dispute Resolution platform provided by the European Commission if you wish to escalate a complaint.
  • The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any claim, except where you are a consumer with a mandatory local right to bring proceedings in the courts of your home country.
